R: Specially designed equipment

Enteco piling rigs can be equipped with powerful hydraulic rotary tables up to 760 kNm torque for the execution of drilled piles up to 4000 mm diameter over 110 meters depth.

ENTECO has developed and designed very high-performance rigs for bored piles technology provided with long stroke mast: this allows the use of Kelly-bars for very deep bored-piles and the use of long casing sections. Casing oscillators can also be fitted to the base Enteco rigs. 

Everything is studied to obtain a considerable increase in daily output, faster execution and on-site safety, winning the challenge of the most difficult soils.

The R method

Larger diameter piles are conceived for deep foundation piles through particularly dense or hard strata:

• Dry piles: drilling in solid ground without water infiltrations
• Dry piles with casing protection: performed when soil is unstable. The casing can be withdrawn or left in situ. Steel casings can be installed by means of the rotary table of the rig, by additional equipment such as hydraulic vibrators or casing oscillator and rotators. When the drilling depth is reached, a steel reinforcement is inserted inside the excavated pile and concrete is poured by means of tremie pipes.
• Wet piles: In some cases there may be a need to employ drilling fluids (such as bentonite suspension or biodegradable polymers) in order to maintain a stable shaft.
